Jesse Torrence
Professional Coach and Organizational Development Consultant in Highland Park, IL, United States
I am an Executive & Life Coach and Organizational Development Consultant who helps mission-driven leaders and their teams achieve extraordinary impact andequanimity in their professional andpersonal lives.
Using a holistic, systems approach to understanding the whole person andthe whole organization, I empower executives and their teams with new habits, structures, and processes that make their lives and their organizations more peaceful, powerful, and creative. Drawing on research and best practices in psychology, neuroscience, behavioral economics, organizational behavior, design thinking, and contemplative practices like mindfulness, I help individuals and groups:
- Generate deep self-awareness, insight, understanding, and confidence
- Build compassionate self-management and conscious communication skills
- Inspire purposeful, courageous, focused, and efficient action
This allows leaders to operate at their best and to embody with authenticity andauthority qualities of trust, stability, compassion, and hope.
The result is that leaders are able to:
- Transform confusion and chaos into clarity and control
- Pain and reactivity into power and responsibility
- Apathy and stagnation into motivation and excellence
- Indecisiveness and conflict into innovation and cooperation.
I stand side-by-side leaders and their teams to unfold their fullpotential and, ultimately, transform bold vision into measurable impact, whether it be social good, the bottom line, or both.
I earned BAs in International Relations and Economics from Stanford and an MPA in International Development from Harvard. I received my professional coaching training from the Co-Active Training Institute. I have nearly 20 years of experience launching, leading, advising, and coaching mission-driven leaders and organizations (nonprofit and for-profit) in the US and abroad, helping them articulate their values, visions, and strategies, overcome internal and interpersonal obstacles, attract talent and capital, and grow themselves and their teams.
I also worked for the Obama Campaign and the World Bank and spent several years studying, working, and living abroad in Europe, Latin America , Africa, and Asia. I now live with my wife and two kids in the Chicago suburbs.
