Jess Genevieve Brown

By day I am a video journalism intern where I work hard to land and produce video interviews and various content with a wide range of experts and professionals.

By night my goals and focus are dedicated to developing Project Make Yourself, a social network endeavour that aims to help people promote and market their skills and abilities. I believe the advent of the internet has opened doors for closer communities and collaborations and it is now possible, more than ever, for individuals to work for themselves based on their personal strengths and passions. Through www.makingjgb.com I am using web 2.0 and social media tools to document my life and showcase the making of JGB.

Previously, I pursued a passion for film in university, was trained through a National Film & Television Association Mentorship Program and worked for the Canadian crown corporation Telefilm as coordinator in Film and New Media financing applications. Last year I took a chance on life/love, relocated to Melbourne and started on a new path with intentions to develop my project and build a career in social media and web development.
