My first loves have always been art, fashion and design and I am proud to have created a life that revolves around creating something beautiful everywhere I go.
Currently, located in New York City, I work in luxury retail design as a materials specialist and librarian, researching and working with a highly curated group of decorative artists, artisans, textile designers and furniture makers to create beautiful brand-specific materials and special finishes for national and international retail locations. Yeah, I know. It's fancy.
In my spare time, I can be found making, shaking, learning and doing in pursuit of my design and creative endeavors, much of which I chronicle on my blog, Design Wonderland. There, I also write about an eclectic mix of all the wonderful things that inspire me. Because of it, I have been lucky enough to be featured on the sites of House Beautiful and Elle Decor.
Formally trained as an Interior Designer, I hold a Master's of Art in Interior Design, from The Corcoran College of Art and Design, a Certificate in 20th Century Decorative Art's from Sotheby's Institute of Art in London and an Bachelor's Degree in Art, with a concentration in Art History, from Howard University.
In case you were wondering, I know my stuff.
