Jessica Lalonde

Having recently graduated from the Brantford Campus of Wilfrid Laurier University, I am back in the National Capital and ready to start the next chapter of my life. I am currently in the Event Management program at Algonquin College. I enjoy planning, creating and facilitating events. I have always loved the feeling of inspiration and enthusiasm after spending a few days with my peers at a conference or reception and would like to continue creating this opportunity for others, whatever the field.

My passion while at school was being involved on campus. I was lucky enough to have a job last year that had me working in a completely new environment: Student Publications. Overseeing several publications and an entire campus department staff is daunting, but I literally learned something new daily through both personal and professional challenges and successes.

When I'm not at work, I am exploring with my best friend, a 4 year old mutt from the SPCA. While I am not artistic in any sense of the word, my favourite places are museums and galleries, taking in beauty in the world that my eyes just don't seem to catch on their own. While Ottawa is the perfect place for both exploring and history, I look forward to traveling and experiencing more of the province, country and world.
