The few years I've spent working in restaurants, along with countless hours of Food Network programming has fostered in me a love for all things culinary.

Food is about bringing people together. It's about nourishing bodies and starting businesses. It's helping those in need and teaching us about the world.

Food touches everyone, everywhere. Food is a powerful thing.

I currently study Journalism at California Polytecnic State University in San Luis Obispo - the happiest city in America, according to Oprah. It is with foodie-fueled curiosity that I hope to create a blog that emphasizes the culture surrounding food, knowing where it comes from, and most importantly finding joy in the ingredients that make up life.
