Jessica Melendrez

I'm going to college to become a registered nuse; I have the desire to help others with life controlling problems. My mother truly has a calling for nursing. Growing up seing my mother being a nurse has shown me the love and the wounderful outcome in nursing.

After becoming an intern/leader at Strong Tower Ministries, I knew that I wanted to be a nurse. As an intern, I watched over thirty women. I taught Bible studies, we shared testimonies, and I also consistently exceeded the daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals that were set.

I also have experience in taking care of children; I put the pastor's two young girls through home school. I taught five subjects, also doing Bible lessons daily. I have four children of my own. Having to raise my children has given me the best experience anyone can have. I have to take care of them when they get sick, knowing what to do and not to do. I've grown wiser and stronger having to raise my children. I love my children so much; as a pediatric nurse, I believe you treat other children like if they were yours.

I also have experience in customer service; I've been a waitress in many places. I enjoy being a server. Dealing with many different people, having to please people can be very hard at times but with a smile on your face and doing your best is very important. I always have to be clear minded when dealing with money. I have learned to handle tough situations and grow from my experiences. I enjoy being around people.

I know I have the desire to become anything I put my mind to. I'm a passionate person, fast learner, responsible, and dependable. I can multi-task, adapt well to any enviroment. I love helping others.I want to gain the knowledge and wisdom in pursuing my dream to become a pediatric nurse. I'm open minded to new things and willing to do everything it takes to be the best I can be.
