I studied at Flinders University from 2010-2013 with the qualification of BA(Visual Arts Major)/BEd (R-7)

I majored in Visual Arts because it is my passion and hobby outside of teaching.

Creativity is of great importance and I want to encourage children to use their imagination to let their creativity flourish.

In our fast-moving society we are constantly needing new ideas; I help my students to develop their skills in ‘thinking outside of the box.’ I would like to give my students the opportunity to create new and exciting things, from new ways to solve a problem, new ways to paint, new ways to construct and beyond!

I also have a firm belief that we need to teach FOR students, and not at students. In my classrooms, you will see the incorporation of digital technology to enhance the students learning. I work alongside my students to help them discover how they can utilize their device for more than fun and games but to use it for research, questioning, creating and collaborating. Student voice is not only heard but is acted upon.

I am always open to hearing new suggestions to better my practice and I love to collaborate with other teachers in schools, online-in Australia and from around the world.
