Fashion is more than a trade; it is a way of life. The Dallas native developed a passion for the arts – particularly the rich world of haute couture - while coming of age in the burgeoning metropolis. In 2004 Ramos graduated from the Art Institute with a design degree before initiating her tenure in the apparel industry. Ramos first began her career working as Product Coordinator for Drew Pearson (later Concept One), an international headwear brand.
In early 2007, Ramos was recruited by the Drew Pearson design division in a position that helped develop her design aesthetic and execution. Ramos was part of the men's team, designing headwear, bags, and wallets for Disney and Warner Bros., as well as branded products for 30 Seconds to Mars, The Beatles, NHL, NCAA, and NBA. In 2010 with this design experience under her belt, Ramos decided to execute her own unique vision, and the contemporary women's line, S.I.C Couture was born.
For several years Ramos had custom designed dresses for family and friends, unknowingly creating pieces that would be part of her inaugural collection. Ramos quickly realized the demand for what she was making – feminine frocks that reflect the current fashion landscape but can be worn season after season.
S.I.C. Couture, which made its debut in late 2011, is a chic collection of cocktail attire that proves timeless in its appeal. The line features a number of figure-flattering silhouettes, carefully designed and selected with utmost attention to the female form. These effortlessly glam designs drape beautifully in the line's signature Silk Chiffon and Crepe de Chine fabrications.
"When creating a new season I really think about the 'S.I.C. girl' -- where she's going, what she's doing..... her story," says Ramos. Ramos believes we are influenced by people daily whether it is the way they dress or the way they carry themselves, which she pays homage to with the brand's adage, "Sexiness Is Contagious."
