Jessica Saracino

Bournemouth, Dorset, United Kingdom

I have always felt closer to animals than humans in some respects. Even as a little girl, I prowled about the house as if I had big paws and a tail.

I am 21 and studying BSc (Hons) Animal Conservation Science in the hopes of becoming a conservationist to help tigers avoid extinction. I hope to become part of the battle, to become an expert in the field alongside many others. I travelled solo to South Africa in 2012, spending 5 weeks at Lionsrock Big Cat Sanctuary, volunteering and conducting my own research.

Aside from my big ambitions, I have loved cross stitch since I was twelve. I have also danced, sung and performed through theatre school, ballet classes and music festival competitions over the years. I was a Radio Co-Presenter for Hope FM in Bournemouth for 1 year and 3 months, presenting every Saturday morning and I was live on Bournemouth Pier during the Bournemouth Air Festival 2009, interviewing the public!
