Jessica Chen

Hello Everyone,

Let me begin by introducing myself. My name is Jessica and I am a 15 year old sophomore from Taipei American School who is passionate about swimming, reading and of course, MUN.

Unlike many other avid MUN participants and leaders, I did not jump on to the MUN Bandwagon the first chance I got. Looking back, I wish I did. However, once I participated in my first MUN conference at the end of 8th grade, I quickly fell in love with it. MUN not only broadened my world view and taught me how to interact with people from diverse backgrounds but most importantly, it taught me how to reach a compromise with others without relinquishing my stance.

In the past one and a half year, I had the privilige of attending 4 traditional conferences, 2 online debates and moderating a couple of Jr. O-MUN debates/tutorials. MUN allowed me to lead and be led, support others and be supported by others. It encouraged me to fight for what my country needs but still consider the demands of other nations. It showed me what a global citizen truly means.

Please contact me for any information regarding Jr. O-MUN, a program for middle school students to debate with delegates all around the world online!
