Jessica Porter

Several passions drive me. One of these is a desire to affect social change, particularly in the domain of human rights. I also have a deep love of reading and a tendency towards holistic, rather than detail orientated, thinking. These passions and tendencies resolved into a drive to pursue my PhD in political science and international relations - with a view to working in a related field, such as diplomacy or theory-based policy and advocacy. Outside of academia, I am excited by inline skating, and the prospects of becoming a musician, a speaker of many languages, and a traveler. My instinctual response to life is to love, philosophize and play.
