Hi everyone!

Nice to meet you. I'm Jessica Yoon, your trusty Executive Administration Officer of Japan, and also a senior at the American School in Japan (ASIJ).

Like a lot of kids at international schools, I've been moving a lot my whole life due to my parents' jobs. I've lived in the UK, the US, Korea, and now Japan. Consequently, I developed a passion for the way diverse cultures, histories, and interests represented by each of today's nations interact with each other -- hence was enticed by MUN and joined my sophomore year in high school.

The saddest thing about being an MUN-er in Japan is that there are only so many conferences available to you. There is a grand total of ONE major annual conference with 5+ schools (aka the Kanto Plains MUN Conference). Want more chances to envelope yourself in passionate MUN communities? Congratulations, you just earned yourself a reason to spend thousands of dollars(most of it going to air travel fees) to attend a 3-day conference in China or Southeast Asia.

So here I was, in despair about the lack of conferences available for my newly discovered MUN spirit, when I came across OMUN. Several debates a month with absolutely no waste of precious time, effort, or money? OMUN opened my eyes to a whole new world of MUN, allowing me to observe different debating styles from all over the world and teach myself how to handle different types of delegates. OMUN has been invaluable in my MUN career, as I hope it will become for yours -- and I'll be here, working behind the scenes to make *your* OMUN experience the absolute best that it can be.
