Only 5% of thought occurs consciously. It’s the other 95%, the unconscious, that drives human behavior and affect people’s decisions about the actions they take, the views they hold, and the products they buy.
I'm a Senior Insight Strategist at the boutique consulting firm, Olson Zaltman. My experience is rooted in understanding the power of the unconscious mind and applying those deep insights.
I specialize in the consumer goods category where I work closely with branding teams and agencies to launch new products, breathe life back into old brands, and ensure positioning and marketing remain relevant to target consumers for long-term growth and success. I'm especially passionate about storytelling and bringing the rich psychology of consumers to life.
My areas of interest include authenticity, identity, cultural trends and tribes, archetypes and human universals. My educational training and passion lies within the fields of Cultural Anthropology, Sociology and Gender Studies.
I thrive in intellectually challenging environments; asking and answering the hard questions, unraveling the paradoxes that are inherent in consumers, rolling up my sleeves and managing innovative research projects that uncover insights that inspire new frames and novel ways of thinking.
I like to think big and challenge those around me to think big, too.
