Jessica Heathcoat

I've been an advocate for giving our nation's youth a voice ever since I was 16 years old. I believe it is extremely important for figures of authority to include teens and young adults in community issues. Giving leadership roles to youth provides us with an invaluable resource for finding out what issues are directly effecting and influencing our younger populations.

I am also an active peer mentor, working with young people in my community who are in need of support. I work with youth who are currently in substance abuse recovery, as well as those who are involved with CPS or Juvenile Court.
