When it comes to writing about myself, I sink into deep thoughts trying to think of my “unique traits”. This is harder than a proper writing assignment because am judging myself instead of others. But here I am, staring at my computer screen.

Hi, I’m Jessica from Troy High School. Growing up in Michigan for most of my life, I always enjoyed staying indoors in the cold weather with some hot chocolate and good food. More on the quiet side, I've been playing the violin and taking art lessons since little. I enjoy these hobbies. Nothing calms me down more than just some scribbles in my sketchbook.

Michigan is great and all, but I love the idea of staying in foreign countries. I lived in China for a couple of years, went to a public school, and had some intense but very much enjoyable experiences there. Those years really shaped my personality and I still dream of owning a mini apartment in Shanghai one day.
