As an organizational sociologist, I have studied many aspects of corporate America, such as how to improve workplace satisfaction and how to analyze a position to determine which characteristics are most important for a potential candidate to possess for a specific job description. This has allowed me to not only make the most informed hiring decisions, but has also aided in my use social media outlets effectively in order to find the best candidates. Therefore the people that I hire will not only be perfect for the organization, but the organization will also be a perfect fit with their career goals. My passion for recruiting came early in my work history when I was promoted to a sales supervisor at Circuit City at the age of 18. I discovered that not only did I receive immense satisfaction in staffing my department with the most successful sales associates, but also because I was helping them get something that they would truly benefit from. My fire for recruiting was stoked again in college when I began studying social interaction in the work place. Unlike other social units such as families and neighborhoods that meet personal needs, formal organizations operate in a deliberate way to accomplish complex goals, and therefore impact more people. My summer internship began my recruiting career when the hiring and training coordinator position at Best Buy was created just for me. This position was my first experience in full cycle on boarding, and once it was over I knew what I wanted to do with my life, and the rest is history. I have now been with Cbeyond for 2 years and have been promoted twice. I am a Talent Attraction Specialist, managing an RPO firm and all social media branding and recruiting needs for my team. Email me if you are interested in a role at Cbeyond! I'm also a snot wiping, diaper changing, boo-boo kissing supermom of twins :)
