I am a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with my Master's Degree and clinical training in Medical Speech-Language Pathology, and have spent my 17-year career working to help hundreds of patients and families navigate an ominous healthcare system with many unanswered questions and frustrations coming at a time when people are the most vulnerable and overwhelmed.I provide strategic direction to ensure positive outcomes, ease caregiver burden, reduce financial impact, and advocate for the best practice in treatment for your individual needs.

-Short-term support and guidance during hospital stays, ensuring collaboration of care and education/research on specific goals of care

-Geriatric care management; accompany to appointments to relieve burden of caregivers and loved ones

-Insurance benefits and claims coordination

-Transitional planning from hospital to rehab facility

-Assessment of caregiver needs and support with home environmental set-up

-Diagnosis and treatment –review and explanation of recommendations for treatment/procedures and guidance through options; preparation for appointments

-Insurance coverage options; file claims and dispute denials

-Interpretation of difficult medical information and terminology

-Communication facilitation among the interdisciplinary team at a hospital, rehab, home health, or skilled nursing facility for non-local family members
