You know how everyone says home is where the heart is? Well I've had the great pleasure of experiencing this insight in two very different ways. Firstly, by working and planning out my career path with my family by my side to support and guide me, and secondly by helping great families, just like yours and mine, find a house that they can then turn into a home. Meeting great new people and finding that special way in how you can change their lives has given me great pride in what I do as a Realtor.

For many years I had always wanted to be my own boss. A combination of personal drive and motivation, mixed with nine years working in the hospitality industry for others, had drawn out the path that lead to my dream of self-employment.

It was nearly this time last year that I started on this journey that began at Algonquin College, here in the city of Ottawa. The Small and Medium Enterprise Management program is where it all began and I've been learning the skills necessary to become successful in my own business. Fast forward to today and I'm proud to report that starting this fall I'll be working full time in the family business of Real Estate. Next spring, after graduation, the initial stages to become a co-owner will be underway and I myself can begin the search for my own house.

Everyone has a need to find some space in this world, some space to call home. I'm happy to say that I'm on the road to finding mine.
