In 2008, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Simon Fraser University. While plugging away at my undergraduate degree, I knew I wanted a career that would allow me to make a difference in people’s lives. Because of my compassion and interest in others I considered a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology. However, after taking relevant courses and learning about the profession, I found it wasn’t the right fit. Following graduation I began working at a local hospital, which allowed me to explore career options in health care.
Through experiences with dietitians I realized that I could bring together my two passions for health and nutrition by pursuing a career in dietetics. Since coming to that realization, I have been absorbing as much knowledge as I can about the field and in June 2014 I graduated from the Dietetics program at the University of British Columbia. I created a food blog because I wanted to explore and learn about current hot topics in nutrition, and share my newfound knowledge and passion with others.
