Nobody can predict the future but we can be fairly certain that it will be driven by technology. We've seen innovation accelerate rapidly over the past 20 years since the internet took the world by storm and it shows no sign of showing down.
My job is to leverage this tech on behalf of people (consumers) and businesses. I am a user experience researcher, data analyst and qualified project manager (old school Prince 2 and agile). To support this I've studied the future of commerce at MIT and learned to code. I use these skills to help businesses identify what their customers want from digital services and what the gaps are in the market. I typically do this for financial services businesses and start-ups - name an FS provider and I've most likely had a conversation with them about their digital services. However, I'm also passionate about Tech for Good, in particular the way that tech can give under-represented members of society a voice. I wrote my undergrad thesis on this at Oxford and have continued to follow my passion by volunteering for Chayn, project managing Ammal and freelancing for ExposAid and the NHS.
Outside of work I am a keen health and fitness enthusiast, so if I'm not at my computer I'm most likely to be in the gym or running up a hill somewhere!
