We are The Sachsons...Kevin and Jess. Newlyweds just married six months ago and have relocated from Charlotte, NC to Frankfurt, Germany when Kev took a promotion with his current company. We left behind all things familiar: our home, careers, family, friends and our beloved dog Natalie to take this two-year, once in a lifetime opportunity to begin our marriage in a unique way.
We wanted family, friends and anyone else interested in this journey abroad to be able to join us, so we have created a blog called Mustard & Bananas. Of course, there is a story behind it. Kevin moved to Germany two months before me and one night for dinner, with nothing left in the apartment, he made a mustard and bananas sandwhich. Disgusting? Yes, i absolutely agree! Yet, that crazy combination got me to think what this expereince will bring - unexpected travels, food, friendships and new memories.
