The greatest challenge in life is discovering who you are…. The second greatest is being happy with what you find.

Last year’s journey to the WBFF stage started as a personal goal to stay committed to something I loved. In 2007, I stepped ...away from the competitive stage after losing my mother to breast cancer. With her loss I willingly gained the guardianship of my little sister along with raising my own daughter. At 27, I felt like life had taken a turn for the worst. I didn’t understand the emotions and feelings that I was experiencing at that time. And, I didn’t have a mother to guide me through some of life’s greatest lessons. After trying to prove to myself that I could be “normal” like others my age… I found out quickly that I was everything but that. I finally accepted the fact that I was no longer capable of dealing with life, the way I was used to. That meant only one thing; I had to deal with some major feelings that did not feel good at all. By training daily and staying committed to my goal of stepping on stage along with working with my spiritual coach, changes started taking place in my life… In 2012, my only dream was to stay committed to something that made me feel good, and to prove to myself that I could follow thru. You see, when you’re dealing with a broken heart, at the depth that I was, I had no motivation for life, love or dreams. Winning my pro card was not only a transformation of my body, it was one of mind and spirit too.

With my pro card proudly tucked beneath me, I am preparing to take the stage for Worlds in Viva Las Vegas. As my story of Overcoming continues, I have one true goal at the forefront. That is to turn my story into a legend.
