I live in Athens, Georgia, but I was born in Greenwich, Connecticut. I am currently a freshman at the University of Georgia and studying biology in hopes of becoming a pediatric rheumatologist. My interest in becoming a rheumatologist started when I was twelve and was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. As much pain as I encountered, contracting arthritis was one of the best things that could have happened to me. Not only did I become closer to my mom, but I also decided to start doing crew because of the low impact on my joints. Through crew, I met my best friends and learned exactly how physically and mentally tough I really was. Crew has helped to shape who I am today, and for that, I am eternally grateful. In my spare time, which is not excessively abundant, I love to read, write, run, sleep, and travel.
