Collaboration, community, innovation, and passion are my approaches to professional and personal life.
The child of two geographers, early in life, I wanted to learn and communicate about the world around me. But I also loved writing and video as a means of storytelling and understanding our world. This led to my combination of studies in English, writing and publication studies, film, and public relations at Clemson University.
Professionally, I'm interested in new media and new ways of engagement and storytelling online. My master's thesis, which will be completed in August 2016, is about interactive documentaries as an emergent communication practice. I currently work in Boulder, Colorado for a media company that distributes independent film worldwide.
My aptitude for travel led me to France and Italy in high school and to study abroad in Stellenbosch, South Africa for one semester in college. Since then, I've traveled internationally to the UK, Spain, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, and Peru.
