Jessie Shaw Thompson

I'm a freelance writer that loves giving voice to those who are unable to write, such as those with developmental and cognitive disabilities. I also enjoy researching and writing family history stories, especially those that tie two completely different people together -- a literary-genealogical Seven Degrees of Kevin Bacon in the style of Paul Harvey's The Rest of the Story. I have a small volume of poetry, “Daddy Walks Past me,” and an upcoming book, "The Invaluable Emma Doe," the true story of a little girl in a wheelchair fighting for recognition when her father discards her after becoming tech-wealthy. I'm also developing a youth mystery series, "The Cursivist," with my daughter-in-law, G. H. Ost.
