Jessika Smith

Jessika Smith is currently attending Dean College working towards her Bachelor of Arts in Dance (anticipate graduation 2016). Over the past four years at Dean College her training has consist of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Modern. In addition to her technique Jessika also received education in Rhythmic Analysis, Pedagogy, and Dance Composition. Jessika has performed in multiple shows at Dean College working with Todd Shanks, William Evans, Gregory King, Julie white, Julianne O’Brien Pedersen, Charlie Holbrok, and Jean Wenzel. During her sophomore year at Dean Jessika was asked to travel with a group of dancers to New York and perform at the Joyce Theater for New York City Dance Alliance. In the summer of 2015 Jessika got the opportunity to work on the operational side of the dance department at Dean College while working as the summer intern. Where she was able to create programs for upcoming shows, meet the new students as well as communicating with alumni about job postings. Jessika is a new member of Boston Tap Company starting October 2015. After graduation Jessika intends on moving toNew York where she hopes to get multiple jobs performing.
