Born in El Salvador, I immigrated to Canada in 1986. I completed my studies at Langara College in 1994 with an Arts and Science Diploma; majoring in Computer Science. I married and because raising a family was important to me, I opened a Licensed Family Child Care in Burnaby in 1999. I completed a Business Certificate thru Langara College and this training along with experience gained in the field allowed me to run a successful child care facility for over 20 years. I now have chosen to dedicate my time to help students learn and develop at the high school level by working as a Special Education Assistant. I also believe that the products we use in our lives can affect our overall health and therefore advocate for safer beauty products by being an active Beauty Counter Consultant. Being a creative individual at heart, and having been brought up believing that learning never stops; I have completed photography courses, the Esthetic licensing program diploma as well as the Wilton Cake Decorating classes. My hope is that at some point I can blend my artistic side to my career, but for now I am happy in the search of my next challenge. To say that I am a woman on the go is always an understatement. I live each moment to the fullest and always put my family and love of life in the upmost priority. I am extremely organized, dedicated and technologically savvy - most days you will find me with an Iphone on one hand and the Ipad on the other.
