Jessica Leach

Thanks for visiting my page.

I like to introduce myself as a writer and a photographer, specializing in music journalism. But sometimes I also introduce myself as someone who, since the beginning of time, has dreamed of being a globetrotting music industry mogul, rubbing elbows with all my favorite rock stars.

I am currently majoring in Magazine Journalism and minoring in French at Boston University, where I am a junior. I have been the Music Editor of the Buzz, BU's premiere online lifestyle magazine, since September 2012, and it's been one of the greatest experiences of my life.

In my spare time, I go to a lot of concerts, read a lot of Rolling Stone, and collect vinyl records. I also sing, play the guitar and the ukulele, and I like to pretend I'm a famous singer. My feminine heroes are Tina Fey and Hillary Clinton, but my literary hero is Bruce Springsteen. I am obsessed with the city of San Francisco, 18th century France, the hippie movement, pop culture trivia, the Lost Generation, movies of the 80s, Barack and Michelle Obama, and impressionist paintings.

Ten years in the future, I see myself living modestly in one of my favorite cities, riding a bike, owning at least three adopted animals, and writing interesting prose for interesting people.
