Jess Livoti-Morales is the Senior Digital Strategist at the AFL-CIO, working on a female-led team to usher in a new era of organizing in the labor movement. In this role, she runs the digital campaign efforts for the Federation, as well as working on game-changing technology like RePurpose and Friends and Neighbors, two important tools in using technology to leverage organizing power. She spent much of the 2012 election cycle on the digital team at Obama for America, working on key projects like national days of action and Dashboard, the campaign’s innovative online organizing tool. Committed to raising the voices of underrepresented communities and women in the movement, she’s trained thousands of the next generation of organizers as a sought-after trainer and speaker. She’s won several awards for her work, including being recognized as one of the “hottest people in digital politics” by Business Insider magazine and one of the “50 women who made the 2012 election cycle” by the Huffington Post. In her spare time, Jess is on the Communications team of the Freedom Side, a collective of people of color who are also youth leaders fighting for racial justice. Jess is a proud Mexicana, Southern California native, and product of Catholic schools.
