Jess Ostroff

New York, NY

I'm Jess (sometimes Jessica). I graduated NYU's Stern School of Business with a double major in marketing and international business, a concentration in entertainment business, and a minor in Russian. After working countless internships and restaurant jobs while earning my degree, I opted for a change of pace in 2008 when I accepted an Americorps position and moved to Los Angeles. The weather, the entrepreneurial spirit, the buzzing food and music scene, and some of the best friends I've ever had kept me in California. But, my increasing desire for change propelled me to leave the west (best) coast to drive across this great country to Ft. Lauderdale, FL for a few months, then to Colorado, and finally back over to New York City where I am currently living, working, and galavanting.

When I'm not worrying about how to pay back my student loans, I do other things, including running a virtual social media assistant agency called Don't Panic Management that helps social media, marketing, PR, and web development professionals with organization and execution so they can focus on what they do best. I'm lucky to work with a group of people who are passionate, not only about their work, but about life. They inspire me every day.

I've also been known to act and sing at times, mostly during YPI, a summer camp for the creative and performing arts that my dad and I run in Connecticut.

I like people. I like ideas. I like pushing people to take action on their amazing ideas. I love the creative process, the magic of wine + cheese, and the relationships I've made throughout my journey. I am working toward a life full of music, passion, love, and location-independence.
