Jessta James

Jessta James

Jessta James springs from the jagged mountains of Montana like the ghost of Jim Bridger. Raised in bear country, he was forged in the family tradition of trailblazing new territory. Raised on classic rock and country legends, he was captivated when he first heard the electro-organic rhythms of hip hop. The earth shaking kick drums resonated in his soul like a thunderclap across the Rockies. He began crafting music that spoke to his sensibilities and would eventually become known as Hick Hop. Traveling the world, absorbing the myriad colors and vibrations of humanity, he still found nothing that combined booming bass and the Western Swing melodies of his ancestors. Both genres being pillars of Americana, our Native Son is simply doing what comes natural. He stalks the beat like a bow hunter and lures in listeners like bull elk. He left the big sky and his trusty sidekick Bruno in the Treasure State to inject himself into the main arteries of modern music, invigorating the beast with fresh blood and adrenaline. Sweeping across the valleys of Los Angeles like cold North Winds, Jessta James is the storm looming on the horizon.
