Born and raised in a small border town in Southwest Texas, Jesus A. Chavarria is a first generation performer and soon to be college graduate. His love for music and singing began at home listening to mariachi music in the mornings and later becoming a mariachi vocalist and violinist in high school. He auditioned for AMDA during his senior year of high school and was accepted imminently. Leaving Texas was a huge step for him one, because of it being so far away from his family, and two being a first generation student meant a great deal as the eldest of three sons. He has spent the last 3 years of his life training in Los Angeles under some of the top directors and performers in LA such as Thomas O'Leary, Nicholas DeGruccio, Joel Bishoff, Mary Gordon Murray, Donna Drake, and many more.
