Jesús Freire

My name is Jesús Freire, I am Political Scientist and currently I work as Policy Assisttant in EuroVelo and cycling tourism in the European Cyclists Federation.

I have been working in the field of NGO´s, human rights, advocay, active mobility and cycling for the last 10 years. Since I was a teenager, I was actively involved in associations, I started my degree in Medicine but I realised that Political Science was my real pasion so I took the important decision of changing my academic direction.

Nowadays, working in an organization at European level, in different policy fields as cycling, social media, tourism, environment, European funding and projets, I have realised about the capacity of civil society and NGO´s to improve the life conditions of millions of people.

Cycling is just a part of my life, but my life would be completly different without cycling.
