Jesús is from the northside of Fort Worth, Texas and is the son of Mexican immigrants. Jesús graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Science, Technology & Society, and a minor in Latin American studies (2013). While at Stanford Jesús dabbled with experiences in the public and private sector through internships with organizations like The Boys and Girls Club and Google. He even took time off from school to launch his own venture called TxtRoo. These experiences better informed his decision to ultimately join Deloitte Consulting as a Business Analyst in Dallas, Texas. After Deloitte, Jesús worked in Nicaragua and Kenya for a nonprofit impact investor. These experiences led him to Columbia Business School (CBS) where he recently graduated from with his MBA. While at CBS Jesús was Co-President of Microlumbia, the $120k student-run impact investing fund, and held internships with Credit Suisse and Rethink Education. Jesús is currently working for Omidyar Network on their investment team.
