My journey into college was probably not the same as most students. After getting denied from my dream school: The University of Georgia, due to a terrible application brought on by my mother's cancer diagnosis, I was worried about what the future held for me. One hard fought appeal later, and I had been admitted into the school I thought would be the answer to all my doubts about the future. I would quickly learn, however, that it would bring up more questions about my future career than it would answer. My love of movies and theater led me to want to be an actor, a dream I am still pursuing (one small extra role at a time). My love of sports and reporting drew me to work on the video crew for the UGA football team. Both of these hobbies and side jobs put me in industries that I love, and brought me connections I never dreamed I would make, but I am still far from deciding on a career. Acting has exposed me to the ins and outs of the filmmaking experience, and filming the practices and games of a top notch college football team has given me in depth knowledge of the sports media industry. College is supposed to be about finding yourself, and I am doing that one step at a time.
