Barely Alive after Chemotherapy at UFHealth Shands in Gainesville, FL
Greetings, I’m Jevin. I’m a 7 year old boy and I was born at Shands Children's Hospital in Gainesville, Florida and I was given Chemotherapy against my will starting at 1 month old and I believe I have suffered brain damage from the cancer treatments at the University of Florida. During the chemotherapy infusion my eyes were uneven dilated and i was screaming the entire time during chemotherapy. It caused me a lot of trauma from the surgery and chemotherapy alone. I also was separated from my mother unfairly because the hospital was worried about not being able to provide chemotherapy to me. The trauma from being separated from my mother and the effects of the chemotherapy caused me to become nonverbal. It is inferred by many that when the chemotherapy that caused my eyes to uneven dilate was the point when my brain was injured. My dad and i were told I had autism when I wouldn't play with a rubber lizard at 2 years old and my dad tried everything for autism like bringing me to ABA therapy, occupational therapy speech therapy and nothing is helping. We need financial help from the doctors and University of Florida who made me this way and who also is not providing any help to us financially other than offer us disability eligibility and i think i deserve more than disability eligibility. My brain may have been damaged during the long surgery to remove the tumor and the sedatives used during the surgeries and imaging. UF doesn't even admit to any wrongdoing I have a lot of extra costs from the damage suffered from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Until a case is settled to provide a life for me and my dad, I am asking for donations through this website and the go fund me links on it for income.
