Janay Hargrove

My name is Ja’Nay Hargrove. I am a 26 year old living in Richmond Va. Even though I work in Corporate America I love to create and am very artistic. I have a very spontaneous and risk taking spirit. I love laughing, traveling, writing poetry, making jewelry, and painting. I’m always thinking of the next step and how to improve myself and reach further goals. My inspiration came from a thought I had one day. “I wish more people would accessorize outside of the box”. I respect trends and the things people come out with, but I have never followed the crowd. I support mainly the handmade community because you are guaranteed to have one of a kind items. I am all for personal creativity and ones expressing themselves through that. What I like about my line is that since it is not based on trends it will always be ‘IN’. My jewelry is not seasonal and it can be worn with anything since the cork color is neutral! I was inspired when I wore my first pair that I made. Men, women, children, teens, different races, ages all stopped me and currently stop me to compliment me on my earrings. All my clients rave about the compliments they receive when out and about. Jewelry by Janay is not just for the urban community. I strive to reach all ethnics and promote others to accessorize outside the box!

Jewelry by Janay was also created as a movement to inspire and encourage trendsetting outside the box. All corks are from fine restaurants across the United States and here in Virginia. We take much pride in creating a limited supply of any given model. At most 2-4 duplicates are created you can always be sure to feel as unique as the jewelry we create!
