Jeff Faucett
Assistant Fire Chief in Port Orchard, Washington
Assistant Chief Jeff Faucett has a long history with South Kitsap Fire and Rescue. Inspired by his father’s thirty-four year fire service career, Jeff worked on fulfilling his lifelong goal to be a firefighter. Beginning in 1992 as a volunteer firefighter with Fire District 7, his hard work and diligence earned him a position as a career firefighter in 1998 with South Kitsap Fire and Rescue where he promoted to Lieutenant in 2005 and Captain in 2012. In 2014 he was promoted to Battalion Chief as A shifts commander. On January 1, 2016 he was reassigned to administration as a Division Chief overseeing the district Emergency Medical Services, Fleet Services, Technology Department, and Prevention. A department restructuring in 2017 reclassified him to Assistant Chief on April 1, 2017.
Jeff graduated from the Washington State Fire Academy in 1995. He earned his Associates Degree in Fire Science in 2004 and a Bachelors of Fire Administration in 2010. Jeff was awarded the esteemed Chief Fire Officer Designation for the Commission on Public Safety Excellence in 2016. During his career he has served as the Vice President and Treasurer for South Kitsap Professional Firefighters, Local 2876. Jeff is currently enrolled in the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program. In addition, AC Faucett has attended several classes at the National Fire Academy. He serves on several committees, manages many projects, and assists where he is needed. He is currently on the Board of Directors for Leadership Kitsap Association and a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs.
