Jean-Francois Larouche
Director, Interactive Department in montréal
Directior, Interactive Department @ Moment Factory
Passion for design and a natural leader on the constant lookout for latest technologies, I’m a persevering person that truly believes in teamwork. I see the positive force that comes from encouraging one another to surpass our own capacities and how this stamina can drive us to evolve. Synthesizing ideas and creative concepts are innate qualities I carry, which help me bring the projects I collaborate on beyond expectations.
I graduated from Université du Québec à Montréal with a diploma in Graphic Design and Cégep de Jonquière in Internet and Multimedia. I have over 15 years of experience in digital product creation.
I currently work as Director of the Interactive department at Moment Factory. Leading a team of 9 designers, creative technologists and developers. I manage clients’ projects and ensure a constant research and development effort within my team. Having worked as Director of the design teams (UX/UI/IxD) for digital products at La Presse, I’ve gained a unique expertise and know-how relating to conceptualizing, managing and directing large-scale endeavours. During my time working with my team, I delivered the overall experiences and innovative graphic interfaces of La Presse+. Throughout my career, I’ve also worked as an Interactive Artistic Director for the ad agency Sid Lee as well as at Radio-Canada, where I conceptualized TOU.TV, Canada’s biggest francophone web series platform.
User experience remains my priority in every undertaking. Be it for corporate mandates or rather playful ones, I’ve had the chance to conceive and direct a great number of projects. This path has given me various challenges that have led me to grow as well as meet very inspiring people, for whom I’ll be forever grateful.
In my spare time I enjoy reading the latest techno news, practicing guitar, working on my drawing skills and playing around with the latest softwares.
