Jamie Olson

• I am an experienced programmer with expertise in data analysis, machine learning and data mining. I have programmed primarily in R, Java and SQL, but also have expertise in Groovy, Python and bash/sh, and am comfortable with HTML, CSS, Javascript and Ruby.

I have extensive experience performing data analysis and visualization using R and its various packages. For large-scale data mining, I have experience with Hadoop and related tools, especially Hive. To facilitate such work, I wrote the rhive package for interacting with Hive in R.
