Jeff Funston

As a seasoned Creative Director I am charged with determining the best ways to visually represent a customers identity and brand. It’s very much a people-oriented job, involving development of high-level concepts for design projects. It also involves working with internal and external clients, pitching designs, and understanding client needs and costs. At times, it requires the development of visual designs, and at other times, as the Creative Director I am responsible for recruiting and managing third party suppliers as well as internal design resources.

WHAT I AM IN CHARGE OF

  • Lead creative sessions for project and product launches
  • Manage multiple projects from concept through completion
  • Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of clients and that advance their brand strategy
  • Establish creative direction for entire lines of services and programs
  • Supervise and inspire the creative team and vendor partners
  • Work with the various team members, and copywriters and generate multiple concepts for a campaign for presentation
  • Manage team members
  • Provide quality control over concepts, production and external resources

ACQUIRED SKILLS

  • Degree in Advertising, Marketing & Design and management experience
  • Over 30 years hands-on experience working in advertising agencies, publishing companies, corporations and for the past 15 years as the owner of a local advertising and design firm.
  • A thorough understanding of communications as well as industry best practices
  • Thorough knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography and have the ability to translate ideas to other designers and stakeholders
  • A strong working knowledge of the design process, brand development, interactive and creative processes
  • Thorough knowledge of print, radio, video and web production
  • Ability to lead projects from concept to completion.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 6, Quark, and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and other related programs
  • An understanding of HTML, and CMS design requirements
  • Ability to make evaluative judgments
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to supervise and train staff, to incl
