José Eduardo García Castillo

Borned in Guatemala, José Eduardo holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from the Rafael Landívar University.
Jose began his career as a gym manager in 2015 and has been climbing to administrative and operational positions since then, gaining experience and knowledge, both in the work and personal aspects.

In 2016 he began working as an administrative assistant in an advertising agency, becoming his first back-office job. During this time, Jose Eduardo understood the importance of a good management of a company, the budget and all the other elements to success in the market.

After a year, he worked in a family business, becoming a KAM in Logistics, learning how the international commerce works, how every product has differents requeriments and treats. This was a new world but a very interesting one, that maybe one day he will continue with the business in the most ethical and outstanding way.

After he graduated, he began working at Productos Avon Guatemala as a Market Analyst, being his first official job in an international company. The most important thing that he learned there was to appreciate the work environment, his co-workers and how people can help you in different situations no matter what. He believes work environment is one of the most valuable element in every company.

After working at AVON, Jose Eduardo started a new project as a Business Intelligence Analyst at a pharmaceutical distributor, Agencias J.I. Cohen. He is in charge of the construction and analysis of the Sell In & Sell Out information from pharmacies, supermarkets and other clients for the elaboration of dashboards and help the Sales Manager to discover insights and improve sales decisions.

He is currently in a MBA at Universidad Francisco Marroquín where he is planning to specialize in the financial field to complement the marketing knowledge acquired and developed in his Marketing Bachelor's Degree.

In Jose's plans is to become a professor at a university in Guatemala and share his knowledge and experience withe the future business leaders of the country.

One of the most important goal of Jose Eduardo is to be admired, he wants to be recognized by his work and effort in every aspect of his life; to his future wife, his kids and maybe one day to his university students.
