I am the youngest in the family of five children. I come from the Philippines, the pearl of the Orient. I am an Elementary Teacher. My first love is to teach and my second love is to travel, that is, to see the world with my naked eyes and to capture its beauty through the lens of my camera. After a very colorful four years of teaching English at an International Academy, I worked in a cruise line as a youth councellor. This shift enables me to tour the world and to visit famous cities of Asia, Europe, and the Americas. After three years of working in a cruise line, I ventured to immigrate to Canada.
Now that I am in Canada, I continue my love for teaching by working as an early childhood educator. During school breaks, I visit my relatives in the US of A. Last year, together with some friends, I travelled to Mexico and the Bahamas. This is the way I reward myself for working hard.
Since September 2013 I am taking up courses that will assist me in getting my Teacher A certificate. I am very excited about this prospect because this certificate will surely empower me to pursue my love for teaching children in a classroom setting as well as make my mother, who is a teacher herself, happy!!!
As a future educator, it is important for me to create a motivating, caring, affirming, respecting and well-mannered learning environment.
The background photos are the views of the city which I dearly love to visit over and over again. Its name is DAVAO – the haven of beautiful beaches and the fruit basket of the Philippines.
