Nutrition science PhD and dietetic intern in Brooklyn, NY

I recently completed my PhD in Nutrition Science at The State University of New York at Buffalo. My research interests have focused on the role of maternal dyslipidemia and the programming of NAFLD in male and female offspring.

My PhD research utilized a transgenic animal model of hypercholesterolemia to investigate how elevated maternal cholesterol during pregnancy differentially affects fetal, adolescent, and adult hepatic lipid metabolism, and whether this occurs in a sex-specific manner.

I will begin the Dietetic Internship at The City University of New York School of Public Health & Health Policy in NYC this fall where I will complete the registered dietitian credential.

I am looking ahead and currently keeping my eye open for future post doc or professional job openings beginning in Summer 2020.
