Jason Heidemann

Chicago

I'm a Chicago-based copywriter, editor, social media marketer, cultural reporter and adjunct professor in the Department of Communication and Media Innovation at Columbia College. I guess you could say I do it all!

I was a longtime writer and editor for Time Out Chicago where I served as both the Comedy editor and also the Gay & Lesbian editor until April 2013. I also wrote a weekly column on standup comedy for the Chicago Tribune from 2013 until spring of 2015.

Currently, I serve as an associate editor and copywriter at travel site Orbitz, teach two social media courses at Columbia College, am the social media manager for American Mattress and also a freelance cultural reporter. Recent clients include Crate & Barrel, Four Seasons, Huffington Post, Chicago Magazine, Passport, Crain's Chicago Business, Walmart, Career Builder and many others. I have appeared numerous times on CBS, FOX and WCIU and have also appeared on ABC.

My personal interests include travel, food, live comedy, politics, LGBT issues, road trips, metropolitan living and much more. My friends call me an enthusiast.

My Orbitz contract ends October 2016 at which point I will seek new opportunities. I am willing to relocate.

Kind regards,
Jason
