Jhénelle Williams

environmental Scientist and Researcher

Jhénelle is an early career scientist with over 8 years of experience in environmental science. Coupled with professional experience in nuclear applications, Jhénelle has a dynamic academic background with a BSc in Ocean Engineering and an MSc in Climate Change.

In 2021, Jhénelle was selected from a pool of over 70,000 applications to earn the prestigious Chevening Award Scholarship. She also went on to represent Jamaica as a youth delegate at the 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow where she supported discussions on climate adaptation.

Presently, Jhénelle is based in the IAEA Isotope Hydrology Section as an Intern. She is also a Young Scientific Programme Officer (YSPC) for SIWI to support SIWI's 2023 World Water Week in Stockholm.
