I first discovered the world of computer science in 8th grade through a new class that was being taught and I instantly fell in love with programming. I took every available programming class at my high school and worked for countless hours teaching myself as well. I started out trying to learn languages like Python and Java, but have gained more experience in C++, LabVIEW, and especially web-based programming languages.

My experience with LabVIEW came through the FIRST Robotics Competition and later I took a class to get certified in LabVIEW development.

C++ was first introduced to me in my senior year of high school, and while it is a difficult language to learn, I find it's power and elegance enjoyable and stimulating.

My first real experience with web-based languages was with my first job at Oasis Digital, where I was an intern in 2013. While there is a lot of conflict surrounding the languages (especially Javascript), I find them extremely useful and challenging in ways other languages cannot be. I enjoy programming in Javascript to easily bring concepts to life quickly and easily, even when I want to do the final program in another language.
