Jiea Rutland-Simpson

Jiea Rutland-Simpson enjoys her role as a physician relationship manager in the health care industry. She attended Spelman College and studied biology. Upon graduating, Jiea decided she wanted to work in a field which tailored to her interest in science and her skills in building relationships with people. This led her to a career in the pharmaceutical sales industry where she developed and managed relationships between administrators and local physicians in the community.

Jiea holds a B.S in Biology and an M.B.A from the University of Miami where she concentrated in management and marketing. She is currently studying for her Masters in Health Information Management to understand how physicians can employ electronic medical records in their practice.

Jiea Rutland-Simpson works as a physician relationship manager and service line administrator at the Valley Baptist Health System in Harlingen, Texas . In this position Jiea works closely with the local physician community and C-Suite members to develop community relations and communication strategies. She has won numerous accolades for her work as a relationship manager in the health care industry.

Jiea utilizes the relationship skills acquired from numerous years in the pharmaceutical industry to help increase hospital sales, solve challenges and mediate issues between the local physician community and hospital administration. She is also an avid traveller who has been to various countries with her family.

Having travelled around the world with her family as a child, Jiea is grateful for the opportunities to travel with her children, an experience she knows is an incomparable gift. She continues to travel in and outside of the United States with her family and hopes that she can share her experiences with other people.Her experiences through travel have also exposed her to the dynamics of health care and the relationships between healthcare administrators, physicians and clients in the global environment.
