Jigar Shah
Jigar S Shah is a first year MBA candidate at Columbia Business School. He is the recipient of Columbia's Feldberg Fellowship, the school’s most prestigious fellowship that provides full tuition for students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership potential and academic excellence.
Most recently, Jigar served as a real estate private equity associate for The Carlyle Group (TCG) in their Washington DC office. During his tenure with TCG, Jigar evaluated opportunities for investment acquisitions / dispositions, potential add-on investments, and restructurings on behalf of a $3 billion equity fund. Prior to joining TPG, Jigar worked as a real estate private equity analyst for Lehman Brothers (Lehman) after joining the firm’s Investment Banking Program. At Lehman, Jigar facilitated the valuation and screening of investment opportunities on behalf of a $3 billion equity fund and $1.5 billion mezzanine fund.
Jigar was one of three students to graduate summa cum laude from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University, receiving dual degrees in Finance and International Business. He was the proud recipient of NYU’s International Business Award, an award recognizing the highest GPA for an international business major and potential for success in an international business-related field.
