Jigyasa Sharma

JIGYASA SHARMA, the begetter of StepKraft Dance Company, has been dancing and teaching, professionally, ever since her school days. She has vanquished the art of umpteen dance styles like Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Salsa, Theatrical Jazz, Afro Jazz, Bollywood and Rock n Roll! She has been excelling in the field of performing arts for more than seven years under the guidance of her mentor, the National Award winning, ace choreographer Mr. Shiamak Davar. She has served on the Instructor and Performer at the Shiamak Davar International (India) Pvt. Ltd.

She is a licensed Zumba® Fitness (ZIN) and a Reebok certified instructor and has trained a large number of students, in and outside Delhi and has been a part of some high profile events and shows like Femina Miss India, NDTV Greenies Awards, PTC Channel’s LDC 3 Grand Finale, Commonwealth Games 2010 Opening & Closing Ceremonies, Auto Expo, Eon Car Launch, Maruti Suzuki Event, Shows with French Embassy, Events with McDonald’s, Al Noor Show, Sahara Shows, Kingdom of Dreams, Televised Shows, etc.

During her dancing career, she has been fortunate enough to have been trained by a number of international celebrity choreographers, namely Tara-Jean Popowich, Vincent Desjardins, Fly Lady Di, Evelyn Thomas, Nikita-Natasha, Amy Meyers Obregon, Fernando Aguilera, Herman Benjamin and Bryan Boogiemind East, among others. She has judged inter-college dance competitions as well.

At StepKraft, Jigyasa administers the creative department, and is the principal dancer and choreographer. With StepKraft she aspires to discover the Power of Dance, for others as well as herself!
